My love for food is well known among those who know me, and I just realised that I haven’t shared a blog post about my favourite recipes in a while. So tonight, feeling inspired, I’m excited to bring you more of my favourite dishes.
In my last food-related post, I confessed my addiction to weekly markets and my love for buying seasonal greens. At home, we never eat pre-cooked meals or anything that comes in a package—I always choose fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The Four Agreements: a book review.
I love reviewing books and, more importantly, reflecting on how they have impacted my life. This book has, so far, been an incredible way to see my life through the lens of these agreements.
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is a self-help book based on ancient Toltec wisdom. It offers four simple yet profound principles to help people break free from self-limiting beliefs and live a life of personal freedom, happiness, and love.

From People-Pleasing to Inner Peace: The Menopause Shift.
At first, it was unsettling. I did not know what was going on, even though I knew something had changed. The hot flushes, the mood swings, the changes in my body that I couldn’t control. One night, I even ended up at the hospital in the emergency room, thinking I was having a heart attack.

The Journey to Stillness in Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is much more than a series of postures; it is a journey inward—an invitation to stillness and introspection. Many people call it “the meditative yoga” or “the yoga of stillness.”

5 Senses - Sight
The sense of sight is fundamental to how we perceive the world and our own bodies. It allows us to observe our movements, interpret environmental cues, and establish a visual connection with other practitioners and the instructor. In yoga, sight can guide and inspire us, leading us into a state of mindfulness while also fostering curiosity.

Healing Collective Trauma through Yoga: a book review.
Last month I read the book Healing Collective trauma, and in this blog I want to explore collective trauma through this book. The concept of collective trauma, as explored by Thomas Hübl in his book, invites us to recognise and heal the wounds we have inherited as a society, especially those that relate to oppression, violence, and dehumanisation.

5 Senses - Touch
I was excited to share this perspective because, when I started practicing yoga, I never expected how profoundly touch would play a role in the experience. You might wonder what touch has to do with yoga, but yoga is all about relationships—first, the one we cultivate with ourselves, and then the connections we build with others.

Fear, on and off the Yoga mat.
Fear is a theme that has come up repeatedly in my life, and for a long time, I’ve wanted to explore its many facets. As a universal and profound experience, fear has been studied and contemplated across philosophical and spiritual traditions. In this post, I’d like to delve deeper into the nature of fear and how we can engage with it both on and off the yoga mat.
5 Senses - Taste
The journey of yoga is about connecting with our body and mind, often through breath, postures, and meditation. But have you ever considered how taste can enhance your yoga experience? Today, we’ll explore how mindful eating can be a powerful addition, deepening your connection to the present moment.

Breath
Over the past three years, I’ve rekindled my love for reading. I’d forgotten how much I missed it until I started again—there’s something so calming about settling into my favourite corner with a book in hand, sipping tea or coffee as I turn each page.
Recently, though, I discovered audiobooks. I had always avoided them because I loved the ritual of holding a physical book. But with a 50-minute commute each day, my husband suggested I try Audible, an app where you can download and listen to books.
5 Senses - Hearing
The power of sound has been used during many years to heal and to treat all kinds of illness. Sound, its effects on emotions, its therapeutic strength and above all, its support in the spiritual path have always been manifested by ancient cultures and civilisations of all parts of the world. Sound can affect us in many ways, producing reactions of 4 different types in us: physiological, psychological, cognitive and behavioural.

Autumn, nourishing our soul
I love autumn, is probably my favourite season. After the activity and long summer days, we have the opportunity to enjoy early evenings, fireplace and time to gather together with our loved ones. Even my body talks to me and asks me to slow down, to cook more nourishing food and to take more time for myself. I like to see this season as a chance for transformation, introspection, and letting go, offering me the perfect opportunity to nourish my soul.

Ageing Gracefully
I love to become older; each year signifies a new chapter filled with experiences that shape who I am. My birthday is more than just a day; I celebrate it for an entire week. This time is dedicated to reflecting on my achievements and losses, my joyful moments and the times of sorrow. Each experience contributes to my growth, and I embrace each piece of my journey.

5 Senses - Smell, a sensory explosion
Aromas play a fundamental role in enhancing relaxation and stimulating emotions naturally, making them an excellent addition to yoga practice. Essential oils and fragrances can create a serene atmosphere, helping to deepen the connection between body and mind. However, it is crucial to recognise that the use of aromas can also evoke strong emotional responses based on personal experiences and past traumas.

Living in the now
‘Living in the now’ - These words can seem very easy to say, even to write and it seems that this topic is currently a talked about subject at this current time. What does it mean? Is it that difficult? Is our society ready for a NOW living moment? Or do we prefer to live in TOMORROW to avoid the pain, but we get stuck in the YESTERDAY not being able to forget?

Cooking is more than just a chore for me; it's a passion that allows me to express my creativity and connect with my heritage. I love experimenting with traditional recipes while also infusing them with my unique touch. Whether it's perfecting a classic paella or creating mouth-watering tapas, each dish tells a story, rich with history and emotion.

Embracing Ego
It is true that many teachings advocate for the release of the ego, urging individuals to find a balance between acknowledging the ego's presence and connecting with their authentic self. By recognising the ego without becoming entangled in its illusions, one can navigate the intricate duality of human existence. The ego, often shaped by societal constructs, coexists alongside our essence - the pure reflection of the soul.
How yoga can support you during menopause
Yoga has become an integral part of my daily routine, satisfying the deep yearning within both my body and mind. Through the practice of yoga, I have discovered a profound sense of harmony between my physical and mental well-being.

When love hits you completely by surprise
"Love Actually," released in 2003, remains a perennial favourite of mine, a film that I make a point to watch every Christmas. This cinematic masterpiece effortlessly captures love in its myriad forms - from the innocence of first love to the enduring bond that transcends death. Through intertwined narratives, the film beautifully showcases long-distance relationships, seemingly impossible love stories, unspoken affections, fraternal love, and the profound connections that create chosen families. It adeptly portrays love that disregards social status, bridges language barriers, and triumphs over every obstacle in its path. "Love Actually" serves as a timeless reminder of the enduring power of love in all its manifestations.

The art of letting go - Aparigraha
In the past, the majority of individuals were born, lived, and died within the confines of their original birthplace. Migration was an uncommon occurrence, usually reserved for those individuals who possessed a sense of adventure or those who were compelled to relocate due to dire circumstances. This static lifestyle was characterised by a deep connection to one's local roots, where homes and lives were intricately woven into the fabric of a single place. Change was a rare visitor in this world, with permanence being the prevailing sentiment. Only a select few were labeled as nomads in a society where stability and consistency were cherished virtues.
