The healing power of trust

Trust heals you.

Look back, what do you feel?

Look around you, what do you see?

Look forward, what do you expect?

For some, these might be easy questions, and yet for others, had probably never even thought about them and for some others they will not even make sense.

I look back and I see BETRAY, I look around and I see LOVE, I look forward and I see HOPE. But the connection between all of them, is TRUST.

Think about it, love without trust is impossible. A break of trust becomes a betrayal. And hope is part of the path of trust. You cannot have hope if you don’t trust the process.

I have come a long way - and I am proud. It was not an easy path, but I am here, and I am happy. Trust is something I have started to work on after many disappointments in my life. Finally, I understood how comforting is to feel TRUST and how much it heals you from within when you feel this trust growing inside of you.

But trust comes not alone, to complement it you should cultivate trust with another quality. I chose discipline to become the teammate of trust. I have chosen these two because I think they are the perfect match. If you live with discipline your trust in your daily tasks or even in your relations will improve. Believing in being able to achieve anything you decide, increases this trust in all aspects of your life.

And you might now be thinking, what does it mean the healing power of Trust. Why do I call it a healing power? Well, because once you live in TRUST you can heal from anything.

Once you bring trust into your life, everything transforms. You can have more fulfilling relations, you are able to perform better at work or studding, you become a happier person, you become a positive being that people love to have around, you can do anything and feel on the top of the world because you TRUST the process and the course of your life.

 But how do you cultivate TRUST? How do you reach this level of trust?

Trust has three drivers: authenticity, logic and empathy. We must start inwards. First, look into what makes us not trust things, people or situations. Most of the time, the answers to all our questions is inside of us. Anything that happens to us is because we have allowed it or decided so.

Stop blaming others for your disappointments or for any problems in your life. Anything that happens is because YOU HAVE CHOSEN IT.

So, let’s start building and cultivating TRUST.

1.    Start being you, STOP acting.

2.    Stand up for what you believe. Be FIRM on your values.

3.    Build strong boundaries. STICK to your promises, to self and others.

4.    Accept and embrace your mistakes. If you mess it, ACCEPT it!

5.    Stop any negative self-talk, see the best in you.

6.    Build on your strengths. You are WORTH it and unique.

7.    Try new things, step out of your comfort zone.

8.    Stop questioning your decisions. Stick to your choices.

This is a long and difficult process, but starting today introducing these little habits into your life and you will start building up that TRUST in anything you do, say or make.
